MAINE IS HIRING A CONSULTANT TO DRAFT MARIJUANA RULES

Maine is seeking a consultant to help the Department of Administrative and Financial Services (DAFS) write the state’s recreational and medical marijuana regulations. The project will start on January 1, 2019 in Augusta, Maine. The consultant would be responsible for helping the DAFS draft the rules needed to implement “An Act to Implement a Regulatory Structure for Adult Use Marijuana” and “An Act to Amend Maine’s Medical Marijuana Law” including topics such as tracking systems, health and safety data and taxes and fees.
