Colorado: Shuttered Marijuana Businesses Face Criminal Charges If Regulators Don’t Know
The State of Colorado and the City of Denver informed marijuana business owners that they could face criminal charges and disciplinary proceedings if they fail to tell the regulators, at least 48 hours in advance, that they are ceasing operations and shutting down the business. The regulators need the advance notice in order to ensure that the marijuana inventory is accurate and that it is destroyed. Notifications can be sent to the regulators listed below.
