Massachusetts Cities Rush to Schedule Public Meetings to Change Laws for #Cannabis Implementation: Industrial Zoning Requirements, Prohibited Activities and Bans

Over 20 Massachusetts towns and cities (links to details below) have scheduled public meetings over the next couple of weeks to amend zoning ordinances and laws as part of the adult use marijuana implementation. Certain cities are seeking to establish a Marijuana Overlay District Bylaw, which forces marijuana establishments to set up shop within a limited industrial zoning district. Others are implementing restrictions or complete bans on the operation of adult use marijuana establishments. Entrepreneurs that are seeking to open businesses and local citizens should participate in these local meetings to ensure that local interests are being fulfilled.
