New Jersey: Borough of Elmwood Park Prohibits Recreational Marijuana Businesses

The Borough of Elmwood Park voted unanimously to adopt an ordinance that prohibits the sale of recreational marijuana or paraphernalia due to concerns around safety and security. Neither the city council nor the public discussed the prohibition. Individuals who violate the ordinance may be subject to a $1,500 find and/or 30 days in jail.
