Cannabis Regulatory Meeting Tracker: Nine (9) Meetings in California, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan and Washington

Today, cannabis regulators will be holding meetings in California, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan and Washington. Details for the meeting including agendas and locations are provided below.

Most of the meetings are being held today to finalize amendments to local municipal codes and zoning laws that will apply to marijuana establishments. The meeting in East Lansing, Michigan is of particular interest as it is the home of Michigan State University, and competition for medical marijuana licenses throughout the state has been fierce. Licensed medical marijuana establishments will be the first in line to receive recreational licenses if voters choose to legalize marijuana in the midterms.
The Michigan Marijuana Advisory Panel will be meeting this afternoon to review the current status of the medical marijuana program. This meeting will be important for the state as tomorrow’s deadline approaches for the closing of temporary medical marijuana programs.
Washington’s WSLCB will be holding a board caucus meeting this afternoon at which industry members will be providing a special presentation on edibles. The presentation is in response to the state’s initial bid to ban gummy edibles
